You don't understand how Superman's "super strength" really works. It's not the same as physical strength. It's more like levitation. It's a combination of psychic force triggered by physical movement and of course, cbbs. (comic book bull shit). It's all in good fun.

Ha, funny thing is, in the film Superman Returns, Superman does try to grab a falling plane by the wings and it DOES SNAP OFF!

He also slows it down gradually, as opposed to suddenly which would kill everyone inside due to the tremendous deceleration and inertia.

It IS afterall a comic book character. One must obviously employ a certain suspension of disbelief. It's fantansy.... lol
