Here is video of Chavez's first 3 trail walks. Up until now, he was never able to play away from home because he was too afraid to trailer out. Chavez is doing very well now. He is really enjoying his walks and is starting to see the games as play instead of as frightening and restrictive. He's actually quieter out on the trail than he is at home!
On our walk, we practiced weaving through the sagebrush, backing through squeezes, and targeting (aka- touch it). Chavez is very sensitive to noises and is very ticklish so it was a big deal for him to go walking through sagebrush, next to a rushing canal, with gun shots from people shooting targets not far off in the distance.
