chris medler lived in cheam remember last race ever saw him race he had a ford anglia he got taken out very badly rolled over we thought he was badly hurt he was ok after they stopped the race . his gf gave him a bit hug after he exited the over turned car . he was a great world champion

think on the same bill at this meeting was van bangers dave melboure jag hit 74 chris colliver senior ford transit hard in the DD HIS FRONT WHEELS were in the back of it

@nathan0401 I have seen some of the "banger" racing and I was shocked that they have no regard for safety what so ever. One car was hit at at least 60mph and the body was separated from the frame.

its like american "enduro" racing except we dont use Jags... we use fords and chevys

This is the way it should be. Trying to get to the finish instead of driving full speed into a competitor. And next time they can use the same car, after some repairs.

A proper bit of banger racing, plenty of crashing and shunting without the need to try and kill somebody by sticking them into the armco or driving into a stationary car at 60mph as if there is somekind of skill in that.
