George Godfrey the former IBU international boxing union heavyweight champion,
who won his IBU world championship on the 2nd of October 1935 in Brussells
Belgium in a 15 round points decision. Although he was the IBU heavyweight champion he might not have been universal. This means he might not have been recognized as the heavyweight champion at the time. The IBU is the first international boxing heavyweight championship. Jason Louis-Fernand. 18/11/2010.
