this is the first sound check that i recorded on my recently completed homemade imitation jazz bass, 62' passive fender jazz bass pickups used but wired with the 75' capacitor

  • srsly its a fender jazz bass morons

  • sorry but the only fender parts on this bass are the pickups, they are the 75' vintage jazz reissue, hardware is all gotoh and i made the body slightly larger and thicker than a jazz bass. its also wired similar to the 62 jazz bass.

  • Nice job. What species of wood did you use for the body, neck and fingerboard? What kind of frets... medium or jumbo, long or short flange? What type of truss rod did you route for and did you put it under the fb or from the back with a skunk stripe? What profile did you shape the neck with? We need deets, man. ;)

  • @penguinphantom1 Sounds like one of your strings is hitting the pick-ups. You might want to lower the pick ups a bit. i have the same problem too. just fyi
