Floating Village in Siem Reap

Interesting tour of the floating village not far from Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The school kids we met loved having candy thrown to them. One kid dove out of the boat in order to grab a piece before it sunk!

These people are as poor as they come. Education is provided through Assembly of God support but it's difficult to get teachers to show up as often as they're supposed to. Fishing here is getting worse and sooner or later these people may be edged out by big fishing industry.
