Today's guest is Miryam from the Nelson Visitor Centre.
She was really nice and it was so cool of her to do an interview at such short notice.

If you ever visit Nelson I recommend going to the Visitor Centre - they have a lot of useful info and the staff are really helpful.

  • I'm so confused...

    Is this not Nelson, NZ???

  • No, it's Nelson, Canada. Sorry if the title is confusing ... Miryam is from a town called Nelson in Canada and the news part is about the NZ anthem getting "trashed".

  • I really love your videos

  • Thank you :)

  • Do you speak Maori?

  • Hmmm ... a bit. I studied it for three years at university. So then I spoke it in class, doing speeches etc, but now I'm very rusty.

  • Good Job Sarah. GJS/

  • Thanks. That's nice of you to say that.

Hmmm ... interesting question. Well, I know more about Canada and North America. But do you mean, like ... has it changed my way of thinking, values etc? Not really ... although I have more of an appreciation of what it takes to produce food, having been wwoofing for three months.

  • you're videos really don't get the attention they deserve for the work you put in(on youtube anyway)! How has living in Canada effected you as a person so far?

  • Maori. NZ has two official languages: English and Maori.
