Good Relations between Czech Republic and Holy See

Pope Benedict XVI also received in audience the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, His Excellency Mr. Jan Fischer.

The talks which continued on from the conversations undertaken during the recent Apostolic visit of the Pope to the Czech Republic underlined the good relations that exist between the two states.

They also affirmed the common will to continue dialogue constructively on issues pertaining to bilateral relations between the ecclesial and civil communities

Finally, there was an exchange of views on topical issues with regard to international relations, particularly the adoption of the Treaty of Lisbon.
