@ta666ak666 The pilots need to get to certain flying hours to receive their flying pay on top of their regular pay. It's call "Flying around the flag pole".

love the C-5A's being from Newburgh.I am very close to Stewart Air Base and love to watch them and the Marine C-130's take off

Love the sound of those engines! They fly right over my house every time they do this. It's awesome.

We have two runways, RWY 29R/11L is 8650' threshold to threshold (1000' overruns on each side) and RWY 29L/11R is 4454'

How long are the runways at Stockon Metro?
So what is the point of touching the runway and taking off again? Anyone explains me?

Touch and gos allow the pilot to practice multiple takeoffs and landings without having to take the time to taxi back to the runway after each landing.

yeah! thanks. my friend and I had just taken his Cirrus to SCK for some maintenance when we saw this "lunker" doing touch and go's. made for a really cool show.

i can't quite make out the tail number on that plane, but it appears to be a Travis AFB tail, which would make it a C-5B airplane. :)

You could be right ubersham. I didn't catch the tail number either, but seeing as Travis isn't too far from Stockton, it wouldn't surprise me if that bad boy is based at Travis.
