Man, I have two budgies, but they are frigthened(or how do you spell it) when they see my hands.. Could it be because the man an the zoo where I buyed(wrong again) them was trying to catch them for like 30 mins! Could it be that they are still terrified since than? That was approximately a month ago..
Hey Floydwebtube... Are those budgies yappy at all? czu im thinking of getting one but my parents probably wont want me to get 1 if there yappy so..i was wondering if you could tell me if there yappy

If by "yappy" you mean that they make noise? Then yes. They are very vocal. Budgie is constantly singing. He even sings when he sleeps. I like the fact that they sing so much. Trying to get them to say some words, but no luck so far.

lol i got a budgie about 2 weeks ago haha...hes so cute...fully clipped sadly :( we bought him like that. But still so cute we love him. i named him spike...he always puffs up and stuff and his feathers stick out. But i cant figure out why he doesnt use his cuttlebone?
hellheli193 2 years ago
He doesnt use his cuttlebone because he doesn't need to yet. When he needs the calcium when he gets older, he'll use it. Keep his wings clipped and spend as much time with him as you can, he will bond with you.

Thanks for your concern, but I assure you, Budgie Bird has it made. That is only his "travel" cage. He goes to the office in it with me every M-F... if you'll notice, IT"S OPEN. He is not locked in. He is free to come and go in my office as he pleases, and has a very nice perch by the window overlooking a lovely yard and bird feeder. He loves it here. He has a much larger cage at "home" also. Budgie loves to travel.
