I believe preparation is needed if an eruption was to happen.

ive read stuff all over yahoo Q n A, and apparently, yellowstone wont erupt for another 100,000 years, the crust temp is too low and the magma chamber below the surface isnt pressurized enough, and for the amount of pressure needed for an eruption, it would take years and years and years for that pressure to build up. and if an eruption were to happen, we would know about a month before.

Volcanic ashes with a large diameter falling from the eruption will certainly result in someone being "Clubbed to Death".
