At 5:45, those crystals on the outside of the dynamite (giant powder) are nitro crystals. They could be set off by breathing on them hard. You guys have some big "cajones"

I wouldn't get any closer to that old dynamite lol.

Cool Video, I like the muzzle flash from your Mosin. Also the shots where you guys are crossing on the rails looks fun!

How would a chasm get there?
dueltruckman 7 months ago
@dueltruckman The chasm is actually the bottom of a very long inclined shaft. The ore cart rails were originally on a wooden bridge that went over the shaft. The wooden bridge burned a long time ago leaving just the rails hanging wildly in mid-air over the shaft.

@fhood How did it burn down? Was it dumb tresspasers?

@dueltruckman Actually, the mine itself suffered a major fire inside when it was still in operation from what I've read and heard.

What's the most interesting thing you have ever found in an old abandoned mine ?
besides some dynamite.

@hunter69denys We've found old shovels and pick axes. Also found a late-2000 model pick-up truck wedged nose down in a vertical shaft at the Western Talc Mine near Tecopa. Truck is still there (it's non-retrieveable), and we found out later from the police that it had been reported stolen about seven months earlier from the Las Vegas area. You'll never know what you'll find in an abandoned mine, that's for sure!
