im doing this exact same trip in september! im reallly excited:) how much did the trip cost you..everything included??
-
@yingyan16 yes it was good old GBP. I booked my ticket to vietnam and returned from Indonesia. I managed to change the date twice for my return journey without being charged. Why dont u just book a cheap flight out of Thailand to Cambodia or somewhere, that would get round that problem and it would only cost a few quid.

6k in GBP? and did you actually buy a return ticket with a date? I'm trying to get an open return ticket but i was told that they are no longer availiable anywhere. And i can't enter Thailand with a one way ticket.......

@frytoy Well of course i met people as i travelled, i wasn't going to avoid human contact for 6 months! Traveling solo means going by yourself and befriending people on the way.

@TheConNic Its so easy to meet people, just wander into a bar find a group of people that look like they are having fun. Get chatting to one of them let them know you just got there and you're on your own. Ask them what's good to do there, where they have been, etc and before you know it you may have travelled with them for a couple of months. The pool table is a blessing to get to know people especially if if there are three people on it, just go ask if they fancy a game of doubles. EASY!!!
