It's only 10am on Monday morning and you're ready to ditch the IT field for a less frustrating career--like a lumberjack or a piranha dentist. Seriously. Aren't you the one who's supposed to be making the IT decisions around here? Isn't it your job to provide employees with the technology they need to do their jobs while factoring in things like budgets and security? At least that's how it used to be. Things are changing, and consumerization is blurring the lines between work and life by giving folks more influence and choice over how and where they work. Our challenge: To show you how Microsoft can help you to embrace the opportunity that is consumerization responsibly, making people more productive and work more enjoyable.

  • It might be a microsoft ad, but it's a factual statement on what's actually going on in organizations world-wide. Given how absolutely reluctant many firms - large and small - are to embracing this sort of change, I applaud Microsoft for trying to take the lead in the inevitable industry-wide brainstorming of "how-to" when it comes to capitalizing on this paradigm.

  • Microsoft videos by epipheo have so little meaning behind them... it's like putting cliques all together and not give solutions, but just promote their brand.

that's not creativity, that's blunt marketing tied to old concept. Microsoft, you fail at communication, just accept it.

  • Ah, it's an interesting concept. I should really l- oh, it's a microsoft ad...

  • basically. "buy our shit, because it will be good for your company. not because it's usful, but because we want your money." hey i should make videos for you guys, i put it all down in one sentence.

  • my question to this: isn't consumerization as explained here actually bad for microsoft? as an IT guy I hear very often from employees (most of the times managers) who only use microsoft products because they have to as it is company policy. If employees could choose freely, macs would probably get a way higher market share.

  • great videos. illustrates concept well. keep up good work.

  • Consumerization of it is: a trend of trend!

  • every boss/ IT dept. head should watch this
