I always find it odd when people can't tell that a an artist they like is lip syncing. It was obvious to me that they were just playing the regular CD version (or whatever you call it) as soon as the song began, and that he was lip syncing as soon as he started 'singing'. What a shame, too, they're so good live.

So was this actually some school's Prom night? That would be ONE HELL OF A PROM.

@Octoberchic25 Unfortunately this is lip synched. It was insisted upon by Eisner and the big wigs in charge of the event. They didn't want anyone going off script during the show. Every act on the show was done the same way, with the exception of Chubby Checker. They are playing along with the song, however, and Danny is singing with it. The only thing that was actually being faked during the song is the horn section.
