--Method Man--

aka Clifford Smith

There are a few things that Method Man wants to make sure everyone is clear on. First off, that he's matured and even grown as an artist and, uh, a man.'My dick got bigger; 'Meth says, grinning ever so slightly.' My fans wanna hear that shit! How I've changed is that my dick got bigger and my voice got deeper.' On a less personal level, Meth wants it to be known that his goal in recording Tical 0: The Prequel was 'to give shit to people that they gonna wanna buy with they funky asses. Cuz people just don't understand me, man.' Oh and one more thing. Don't call don't call Tical 0 a comeback, or worse yet a reintroduction.

'Reintroduction?' Meth snorts. 'I ain't gotta reintroduce myself. The motherfuckers know who I is.' Truer words were never spoken. Ever since the sultan of Shaolin grabbed the spotlight on Wu Tang Clans'1993 epic Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers), Meth has been in yo face and in yo ears. Whether holding it down with the Wu on the group's 3 subsequent CDs (97's Wu Tang Forever, 2000's The W and 2002's Iron Flag), his solo joints- 94's Tical and 98's Tical 2000 Judgement Day- Blackout! 1999's collabo with partner in crime and rhyme Redman, guest spots on other folks' hits, (the Grammy winner 'I'll Be There For You/ You're All I Need To Get By' and the current street scorcher 'Love @ 1st Sight'-both with Mary J Blige), or star turns on 'Oz', 'The Wire', 'How High' and the forthcoming TK, Method Man has made damn sure that folks not only know who he is but appreciate what he is capable of. Nice on the mike, easy on the eyes, hot on stage, cool on screen, Method Man has become more than just a rapper but still remained the ultimate rapper in the game. With a lyrical style that is unpredictable, yet instantly recognizable and a persona that runs the gamut from low-key menace to hyped up stoner, Meth has brought the pain, and staked his claim, waiting to make his next move.

Of course fans know that it's not only on vinyl that Meth's been helping them to bust off. Over the past several years Method has established himself as a screen presence of note able to flip it from gut busting comedy's ala 2002's 'How High' (co starring Redman.) or play it close to the bone (e.g. his feature film debut 1998's 'Belly' and his spots on acclaimed HBO dramas 'Oz' and 'The Wire'. His favorite aspect of acting? 'Watching the full project being completed. Acting is a totally different ball game than just rhyming. I got more creative control when I rhyme but I like working with other people in acting'. Meth's charisma and skills has also brought him numerous endorsements i.e. his gig as the spokesman for Right Guard. Make no mistake. Method Man has come a long way from the projects of Staten island and the early, grimy days when a group of childhood friends teamed together to unleash the most influential hip hop act of its time, Wu Tang Clan. The rest? Hip hop history and a body of work that has stood the test of time andthe fickle nature of the music industry. Ask Method Man how he sees himself in the pecking order of rap bandits and the answer is pure Meth. 'Hmm I got a pretty big pecker so I guess I'm number one.' No argument here.

  • And no people...I didnt copy and paste all that, i took my time too Read and write it all,This shows dedication..Your only a True hip-hop head if you took your time too do all this.

  • Produced by Bronze Nazareth

Producer comments part 4.: But he started feeling it more and more after i played the beat with Vast and byata vocals on it. P-sunn ended on this song perfect! Prodigal Sunn has gottin so much better from the early Sunz of Man days, when his style was much more aggresive and fast. Now he has a lot of control on the mic and u can tell by his different flow and style now...Peace to the God, that's my brother Right there!

  • @b7r7u7c7e it's like a mix of Bb king and marvin gaye with a side of wutang

  • @b7r7u7c7e Yes it is, this is when hiphop was hiphop it actualy meant something and wasn't forced into being called "Rap" rap isnt like hiphop, hiphop has soul "like you said"...hiphop is a movement, hiphop is graffiti, hiphop is breakdancing, hiphop is beatboxing...hiphop is ETERNAL!

  • @MrMindSpray420 This beat is amazing. Sounds like a blues beat from memphis tennessee from 1973! Wish more hip hop heads did more beats like this and bring that 90's style of producer when the beats were organic, gritty, with the focus being on deep bass, horns, mix with real instruments. Todays beats and music has no soul to it. Hopefully it will come back.

  • I heard this song on pandora but it was the instrumental. Loved it! Like listening to it without the rappers. Sounds like some old school soul beat from memphis tennesse in the 1970's.
