The Beatles "She's leaving home" classical guitar version by Paul Gordon Manners

This is probably the most beautiful song and certainly the most touching lyric that McCartney has ever written. All real Beatles lovers know it off by heart although it has never been one of their more famous tracks. I hope my classical guitar version does justice to the original splendid string arrangement and invites younger listeners to a more profound understanding of The Beatles' immense and (if ever possible) underestimated talent.

Paul - Spot on comment about it being a classic McCartney song. And your version is great too - I discovered your stuff through your excellent Genesis medley and I immediately subscribed.

I hope you won't mind me pointing out that Mike Leander actually did the string arrangement and not George Martin. George was away for a period and McCartney was anxious to get the song finished and drafted in Leander. GM was apparently a bit miffed that Paul hadn't waited for him to return!

I know you like multitracking...and you're very good at it too. It's just that having produced so many multitrack recordings for others...I wanted to keep mine as natural and simple as possible. Something had to be sacrificed but maybe something was gained. Glad you liked it anyway...
