Is that singulator upside down?

WHY would you connect a hub motor to the bottom bracket????? Lace it to a wheel and SKIP that extra chain, ratchet and motor mounts. LOTS easier doing it that way!

That's a brilliant bit of kit, but I just know I'd jump on it in long trousers and laced shoes and lose a leg

electric is the way to go...
check out the lincvolt neil young is building.instead of plugging it in the recharge u plug it in to power your house.

hahaha!!! when he opened the battery place, it looked like fucking bomb!!! suicide biker!!!

put a larger gear on your rear wheel to get more torque outta that hussy!

Hi Motor
Check the earlier comments -you can (or could) get parts from Cyclone USA

Reminds me alot of the StokeMonkey. I recently saw someone use the Currie electroDrive [spoke drive} as a crank drive with only 24 volts! Some how the crankdrive seems like a much more efficient application than a wheel hub or spoke drive to me now. Any reason why?

Hi Jojo
Yes -my inspiration was based on the Stokemonkey, but i didn't want to pedal :-)
Crankdrive are really good for torque and i find having more voltage and less current is good for your batteries as well.Plus you can get lower amp rated batteries which is heaps cheaper.
Crankdrive is a bit noisier than hub or spoke drive and great for hilly areas. If you lived in mainly flat areas the hub/spoke is the way to go.

Hmm.. I have the bionx and the Currie spokedrive 24v . The inherent limits are torque and set revs as gears are not connected. Although they're great and I don't yet own a crankdrive , my searches and laymans logic say the overall package is the crank system ,as it assists at any speed as long as one has the gears for it.

Have you got alot of hills around your way?
There are a few 17deg hills around my place which i regularly ride -that was why i went with the crankdrive.
Otherwise the hubdrive at 48V20A in a 26" wheel was fine -still had to pedal but was good moderate exercise.
Have you looked at BMC brushless geared hub motors for example? Or BMC motor kits that are similar to your Currie?
Cheers
