New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson abandoned his nomination to become commerce secretary under pressure of a grand jury investigation into a state contract awarded to his political donors

Really? Name the recent Republicans. I can think of Foley and possibly DeLay.

Here are some recent corrupt democrats:
Geithner
Richardson
Daschle
Richardson
Blagojevich

I wish he was the nominee. The Dems need a centrist like him, not a far left guy like Obama. Oh well at least he's on the cabinet

He is good speaker. He hit on the nail. I won't miss Dick Chaney. He makes me want to cry because I think that this wa the orginal ideals of president. Honor our American consitution, respect other we do not, protect Americans not only profitting companies, most to believe in the people and never give up hope.

Well, actually, yes, McCain was thinking for himself. He just saw the writing on the wall - that in order to achieve what he wanted, both for his country and for himself, he would have to compromise on some of his stated principles, and as a result he made some pretty questionable choices. McCain could never be called much of a follower to anything save his own ambition. (Of course, the same accusation might be made of Obama, were his particular pill not so easy to swallow.) Whatever, man.

He would have been the perfect running mate for Obama but I'm not sure if America is ready for a black President with a Hispanic VP (or a woman VP with Hillary). That being said, Obama needed to pick a white male. Gov. Brian Schweitzer of Montana, I think, would have been a more interesting choice over Biden
