A compilation of belly dancing scenes from some James Bond movies accompanied by the theme music from James Bond. The belly dancers are Lisa Guiraut(From Russia with Love) and Carmen Du Sautoy(The Man with the Golden Gun). Additional scenes in the video are from Octopussy.

  • @kokamoa Saida may have got a metaphorical pie in the face but after they'd wrapped up the filming of that scene (which was the last to be filmed for Golden Gun) Roger Moore was literally gunged with a bucket of paste from above set courtsey of the producer (one of his infamous "wrap pranks"). Moore was gutted as he liked that suit and had fancied hanging on to it.

  • @Hecatean You make a compelling argument :)

  • @Hecatean so that scene was effectively her cummupance. Arguably Bond tends not to do anything to people that they don't deserve, she didn't deserve to die, so she lived but she did deserve to get owned so she was.

  • @kokamoa I wouldn't give her too much credit though, at the start of the fight she was less concerned with the fact that Bond was the subject of an unprovoked assault and more concerned witht the damage done to her perfumes. Add to that her callousness over Fairbanks' murder and her prioritising the loss of her "charm" (we can assume she didn't know Bond had stolen it) over whether or not Bond (who was merely defending himself) was alright. Sexiest Bond girl perhaps but she's far from likeable.

  • @Hecatean we've talked about Saida a few times, what I think is interesting about her is her reaction immediately after the fight, just before the "I've lost my charm" bit. She's actually repulsed by the violence and you get the sense that she wants nothing to do with Bond after the fight.

Those who do her down as "not Bond quality" are missing the point. She's one of the few Bond girls to convey genuine lust in the series and the belly kiss scene is one of the most erotic Bond film scenes

  • @Beer1584 Didn't think she was unattractive personally, but the hair do didn't do her any favours it was the same as Moneypennys sort of a middle aged woman's do for a twenty something. I'd agree she had it coming though I think she was written to be alluring but unlikeable - vain callous and shallow.

  • Octopussy dancers will kick your ass in mid-dance. :D

  • Poor Saida, she got owned well and truly. *splunk* though Bond didn't quite get away with his dignity in tact either.
