I have a grandfather with whip marks all over his back and chest. His feet are also destroyed because he had no shoes. They were treated so bad back in those days.

My mama told me she had seen two separate water fountains in doctors office when she was about 5 years old. She said one was labeled "White" and the other "Black". Just for fun, she took a drink outta the white only fountain. My grandma caught her and grabbed her away before anyone saw them. My mama told grandma, "they both taste the same to me mama".
