Video of ferrets mating. Warning... This isn't a gentle process but the jill is not harmed. We will check her neck often to be sure she is alright. The hob will be removed from her shed in a few days. then the countdown begins!

  • all ferrets are individuals! could just be his way... or it could be that your jill is a whiner lol i have one of those... responds to rough housing with a screech

However it is possible that your ferret is displaying sexual behavior as a result of the beginings of Adrenal disease, which generally sees them loose weight, lose hair and other problems...it also increases sexual behavior even in neutered ferrets. in which case its worth talking to the vet about..

  • Sorry to say with the tattoo's you are probably out of luck... that generally means not only are they mill ferrets who aren't genetically suitable nor able to have or make babies!! the tattoos are indicators that they've been neutered!! Castrated and spayed!!

  • hey one question.... i never saw my male (that was bred with my female about 7 days before)... get stuck with his bny hook on my female....

    will she get pregnant...

i left my female ferret in heat for about 10 or 11 days....

and then i put her with my male ... as soon as i put him with her he started mouting her just like your video....

i left them for about 7 days toguether..... they are not mating anymore ... will she get pregnant...

i left them toguether since may 29

  • @honorax123 there's a good chance she's pregnant.. all you can do is mark the calendar from the day you first put them together and count to 42.. that should be her due date.. anywhere from 2 days early to 2 days late is acceptable.. after that if she looks at all unwell she should see a vet

  • Does it get stuck? because there in that position for a looonngg time. And does it hurt the jill?

  • @AngelDust922 - they have a sort of boney hook... that locks them in place but it isn't absolutely neccessary to mate. and yes they are coupled for a long time.. just how ferrets are...

  • @babychicky215 Don't breed your ferrets... not a problem since you can't anyway... but you shouldn't breed either.

  • I was wondeing why my Specks was chasing my Chii. I thought hes just being mean.

  • @lorelei0922 my as you call "mill" baby is cute if he had his manhood bet he would of been an excellent Daddy

  • my ferret is going to have babies

  • WTF is in the corner?! Rabbit or a dead ferret? They act like its not there :D

  • Ok, only one of two of my males does this to the female and she cries. I feel terrible that she does so I put him in a carrier cage to separate them for 5 mins and put him back and he has calmed down.

He does this EVERY morning as soon as there is daylight in the room like clockwork! I know that all three of them are spade/neutered. Why does he do this? just on instinct? Why doesn't the other male do this?

  • that ferrets got some moves!

  • @annbaskervill If you only have the one ferret that is not good. Ferrets are very social creatures and require company of their own kind even if they have loving owners they still need company.
