This knot is a four rope (8 ended) variant on the crown sinnet.
The crown sinnet is sold under several names as fire poi, the most familiar of which are "MoonBlaze" and "Isis". I highly recommend that you practice the traditional crown sinnet several times before attempting this four roped variant.

Additional notes about this knot
-Anyone who chooses to create this knot should not charge more than $100 for a pair of heads. If you charge more you will be flamed and shamed.

-It is important to tie every layer as tightly as possible

-In order for this head to break, four adjacent ropes on any one layer must break.

-In the event that the top or bottom layer breaks away, the head will still be usable, since every layer is an independent knot. Strip away the matching layer on your other head and you have a match!

-If you do not tie this head tight enough, it will fall apart, as will any other knot.

-You can remove 2 feet from your total length of rope to shorten the height of the end product by 1 layer

  • @thehellisthere

I just posted a video the other day of them being used at Firedrums, I will place it on here as a video response

The burn time on these is a little over 5 minutes of good flame when they're new

  • Hey, you mentioned that this knot can be striped down a layer and still have a usable knot. People making this knot might want to hit each layer with a small amount of elmer's glue for that very purpose.

  • Holy sh*t, they are huge! :)
