And I am not so sure we don't deserve to make a living with our expressions. There are lots of societies where artists do play a vital role. Art is everywhere, whether you realize it or not. Your pizza box, your beer can, your rearview mirror air freshner, and other white-trash artifacts that artist-haters use every day are the work of artists. Not all art is glamorous, but if it doesn't look right, u notice. There is value in that. But work is sporadic, & we shouldn't starve between jobs

Brilliant work And soo very funny. I think this country needs a "Minister of Culture" (would be Secretary here) just as much as any other Department to suuport arts & literature.

I hope you realize that the GREAT artists had no money at all. Van Gogh, Cezanne,Hyeronimous Bosch. the flamish ones and the list is endless. Only an artist can comprehend another one .
