Were going to cut beads for the 3 way cap we applied earlier. Plastic bead are way easier to cut, they are lighter, and they are a lot more forgiving, they can bend and twist, then bounce back to their original form. I would recommend that anybody that is not a professional taper to use plastic beads. We waited a bit before we started cutting so that the 3 way cap as set a little. Because we got a bullnose bead meeting with an splayed outside bead, we not going to use the milder (Picture on the right) like we usually, were going to cut the end of the bead until we think the it fits good and it will meet up with the next bead properly. Once you got the round cut, then you cut the lengths, always cut the lengths to the 3 way cap last because it easy to cut. As long as the bead is on top of the lip sticking out from the 3 way cap (Bottom Picture) we are good, it doesn't have to bead super tight with the cap. The two other bullnose beads are really easy to cut, just need to cut the length, make sure that they don't touch the floor, but snug with the drywall we don't want gaps. The splayed outside bead is the last bead we cut, the milder tool will not work for this, we cut this piece by eye. When your cutting beads often you'll find that the milder doesn't work and you have to cut it free hand. If your piece is too long cut it a little so it easier to work with. When your trimming, cut your piece long at first, place it on your wall and see where you need to adjust, give yourself a lot of room to play with. With a 3 way cap it petty easy to make a very nice round corner, and its strong, all you need to do is cut the lengths petty much. You can purchase a 3 way cap from just about any hardware store, or you can get the 3 way cap from HERE. Once we are done cutting the beads for this 3 way cap we will apply them using our taping mud.
