Asus Z68, 2600k w/ Smart Response Technology Gaming Build

This is just a short look at what is going in my next build. I don't have everything I want just yet to put it together so I'm waiting on a few cables and an adapter for the USB 3.0 cables. The Corsair 650d doesn't come with a header but instead an extension cable that plugs into the rear I/O plugs. I am going to get an adapter to use the headers on the motherboard instead of the back plugs

how did you get the srt to work?

@KazaMagaza out of the box it wouldn't work. I had to download the latest Intel Rapid Storge Technology from Asus' web page. From there you have to enable raid before you install the OS (if your SSD is bigger than 64Gb you might consider partitioning if off to something SRT can handle) Then you install the OS, enable SRT and there you go.

@frank19961248 I was just thinking about buying that. I ran CrystalDiskMark on it. Read: 222.7 mb/s (seq), Write 89.14 mb/s (seq).

The write speeds aren't very fast but the read speeds are fantastic.

if your gonna use a ssd why would you use anything other than windows 7? windows 7 comes with TRIM support

@TheRushfx I am using Windows 7, I said Vista by mistake. I put an Annotation bubble on the screen correcting my mistake.
