Poet Ciaran O Driscoll recites The Lake Isle Of Innisfree by WB Yeats. Filmed by John (Shedman) Davis during Cuisle Poetry Festival 2005
THE LAKE ISLE OF INNISFREE
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee;
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
A lovely reading! Thank you!

Make me over in the morning
From the rag-bag of the world!
Scraps of dreams and duds of daring,
Home-bought stuff from far sea-faring.
-- Bliss Carman [1861-1929]
I would mould a world of fire and dew
With no one bitter, grave, or over wise,
And nothing marred or old to do you wrong.
-- William Yeats [1865-1935]

Freedom, Freedom, Freedom, this poem oozes the need for this. For a life long gone, a time never to be recaptured ,childhood, and the pleasure of simplicity and uncomplicated contentment.
