I think no matter u may understand Bush means this part of the war against Islam is considered a coma because of the great strides being made and that improvement for most Iraqi's looking forward is better without Saddam.
There is no guarantee this will happen but many Iraqi's begged Bush in private to get rid of Saddam -Qsay and Usay who were butchering civilian Iraq's for sport.

right, most Iraqis wanted to get rid of Saddam's regime. Killing 655,000+ civilians and tripling the anger towards the west in order to do so, however, just shows the goal had nothing to do with freeing Iraqis nor protecting America.
