stretches and warm ups are deffinately not for wimps, they r to strengthen muscles and increase flexability and increase the flow of blood energy to your limbs, if u want to improve your skills and martial arts abilities, warm ups and stretching is important

That all depends on your skill level and how much time you want to spend doing these warm ups. I think 1 to 2 reps as shown here is enough for daily use before exercise.
