Plasma demo running on a Colorduino and Arduino.

More here: http://123led.wordpress.com/colorduino/

I was lucky enough to receive a beta Colorduino matrix controller from iTead Studio. The matrix didn't play nice with my camera, it doesn't flicker to the eye.

  • nice. funky temporal moire pattern. probably PWM of the diodes interfering with progressive scan camera

  • @DanFrederiksen Thanks, and yes the camera had a hard time with it! This was the best I could manage.

  • I am still hoping to see a demo of the Colorduino that shows off the extra color depth. Fully saturated plasma looks great on a Rainbow too, it's only when you try a slow ramp between two colors that you notice the limitations of software PWM.
