The Antigone Project 2011

On January, 14 -- 15, 2011 at SBHS auditorium at 7:30pm, the First Light Theatre Project will bring the Greek tragedy-- Sophocles' Antigone, to the stage.
In an adaption written by a South Burlington High School sophomore allowing the play to be accessible to middle school actors, the project hopes to bring Greek drama to the community in a unique way.


We're writing to invite you to become part of The Antigone Project.

The Antigone Project starts with the beliefs that (1) quality youth theatre has something to teach us; (2) Greek tragedy has relevance in today's world; (3) the combination of youth theatre, Greek tragedy, and youth-led teaching offers a different, many-layered learning opportunity that's worth exploring.
