@ExhaustDepot Thats the same reason im thinking about a turbo back set up. would a Single turbo be better then trying to do a twin??
-
all i can say is wtf is wrong with u this fucking car don't need a dam turbo fuck!

My friend, i need your help, i´m mounting a diy kit like this and i need to know about the oil pump system, how its conected and what i need to know about installing, can you help me?
-
just wondering around how much does this kind of turbo installation give to the Car's Engine?
im thinking of doing this to my civic will it give it a 40% boost? or more?

@tpvalley The exhaust pipe should be wrapped with header heat wrap all the way to the turbo which helps keep the temperature up to prevent heat loss. This setup is not "all wrong" as its been proven by STS engineers over and over! It's also less heat under the hood with the turbo being remote mount. (That helps with your HP #'s with lower intake temps!)

@exhaustdepot.. The people hating don't seem to know a fucking thing about air flow or else they would not have said those dumb shit comments!! Don't stress it! Nice work! And to bad that jeep of hennesys went back to mexico with its owner after the first record was set.. It was only 835whp at the time! Been in it.. Was a fun jeep.. Would like to see an on going battle into the 9's!!! Lol any way nice work!

so ur twin turbo jeep also has rear turbos?

if u can use the cars standard manifolds with this set up, u can with a turbo up front.
use the same pipe as here but shorten it so that turbo sits up front and use same boost pipework but shorter.
is that 3inch piping after the y pipe going to the turbo???

Yes we have 3" piping going into the turbo.

@ExhaustDepot
u have the boost pipe next to the exhaust pipe!!! heat transfer!!
do u understand why this is wrong?
do u know that as the exhaust gas travels along pipe and cools it looses volume?
that volume could be used to spool turbo more and is wasted here.
Sorry but this is all wrong the turbo should be as close to engine as possible and the boost pipe should NOT be any where it can gain heat.

@tpvalley Thank you Captain obvious. First the charge pipe sits about a foot away from the exhaust. The heat does not make it to the pipe because there is so much air under the car while your driving.
I am familiar with the whole turbo lag thing etc (jet aircraft tech by trade) , however the main reason for having a turbo in the back of the car is cost! Add two custom manifolds and the extra work to fit a turbo into the front and you can add an extra $4500 into making a custom kit.

@ExhaustDepot So how much was this back street abortion?

@SG55OVCam I have no Idea, i just redid his piping for him in mandrel bent, however I can tell you this, look at my videos and you will see a twin turbo srt8 jeep cherokee. It has dual abortions as you call it. Anyways it put down about 1100 to the wheels and it runs in the high 10's. Its the fastest srt8 jeep and it beat hennesses So regardless of what you think wont work or will work, the numbers shows it all. I personally prefer classic turbos up front but its the c ustomers call.
