This is a chaotic pendulum (made from meccano).
Admittedly, it's very crude (I don't have much maccano, so I had to make do with what I had), you may notice I'm having to hold it down to stop it from swingging itself over and from time to time it has to be 'recalibrated'.
The idea behind this is you have a pendulum made of a longer solid bar with a shorter solid bar atatched (hinged) to its end. When the pendulum is swung, the two part swing in their own way, but each affecting the motion of the other.
Why is it chaotic?
It's chaotic in the mathematical sense that a slight change from the initial set up will lead to a big change in its resultant movement. (I hope that made sense. If not, the video may help)
I got the idea on a visit to Sheffield University - they had a much larger (and better built) version on display, and I decided I wanted one of my own.
The music is, ofcourse, Swing Swing by The All American Rejects (I'm sorry, I really had to), edited slightly.
Hope you like it.
[Edit] - This might help explain it:

Wow, thats weird. Not to be picky, but it's spelt Meccano. :-)
