Dr. Gail Christopher - Forum on Health Disparities and Education

This forum was a cornerstone of the week-long series of events that HSC co-hosted with the Office of Minority Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for National Minority Health Month. HHS has chosen to hold these events in Chicago to spotlight the city's successful partnerships supporting healthy school environments for low-income minority students facing significant health disparities.

At the forum, we heard about the latest research on the impact of health disparities on student achievement and will learn about what education leaders at the local and national level are doing to address these disparities and support student success.
