"It's Got to be Love" is one of the fine yet seldom heard tracks on The World of Soul (1968), the third Capitol album released by The Magnificent Men, the outstanding white soul band from Central PA. By the way, if you share my philosophy, "never grow up, never grow old," come on over to my blog, Shady Dell Music & Memories at www.shadydell.blogspot.com. See you there!

  • What a great channel! Did you know the Mag Men by any chance? Always loved their stuff! Thankfully whether they were black or white was never a real issue of importance, they had Soul!

Cannot believe what a great bill that must have been on Aug. 26, 1966! Awe!

  • @quieterrps Unfortunately I never actually met any of the guys. You're right, though: great music is color blind and they laid down some marvelous sounds. Thank you so much for your comments, my friend!

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

  • @SOULINTEGRITY I know that you have an ear for the real thing, mate. I'm glad you appreciate our hometown heroes the Mag Men. Thanks for your comment!

  • Just transfered this to mp3 two days ago to post on the Tube. You beat me to the punch (LOL!). This one was always a fave and should have been a hit single. Those idiots at Capitol had no idea how to market this fine band. Your video is every bit as excellent as the song itself...Great Job, Tom!!! Sound quality is superb!

  • @DaddyClb Thanks, Daddy! You have professor Dave Zang to thank for the audio quality on this and other tracks that I have uploaded from World of Soul. Dave located a mint copy of the album and had it professionally transferred to CD. That's huge for those of us striving to immortalize the recorded works of the Mag Men.
