  • If he had played them Mrs. Robinson or The Boxer, they still would have rejected it. Corporate Tools! They could release any music, good, bad or indifferent, and it would still sell as long as they put the promotion behind it. So why not just release great music and get rich off that? Oh, yeah, i forgot-They all have tin ears! That would explain the current state of "music." A very prescient film that needs a DVD release AND a ton of Promotion. I'll settle for the DVD.

  • very good, paul simon rocks

  • i love that scene when paul calls cal a fat ass lol

  • I've always wanted to see this movie, but I can't find it anywhere! Thanks for posting.

  • Love this film.Paul isn't a bad actor! Hard to mess up playing yourself though i suppose : )

  • I've never seen this film but I'd really like to. Paul Simon is playing at the Glastonbury festival next week... can't believe I'm going to see him live!

  • This films takes the pith out of the music BUSINESS and the characters that run it which is probably why same corporate clones didn't want it promoted and don't help distribute it eg DVD release.

  • Paul spent five years making this movie and writing the songs; I thought it was great but it didn`t do very well commercially. Too bad because he obviously knew how to write entertaining dialogue.

  • @ZeropointZero70, I agree with you. As an aspiring songwriter and an emerging composer myself, I feel I am at a horrible disadvantage with my music. Although, there are a lot of people who don't like and don't listen to the top 40. Even my composition professor was saying that today, it takes a lot of self promotion, which I plan to do anyway. I'm currently trying to make a CD on my own called "Finite Meditation." I love Paul Simon and wish I grew up in the same era he did.

  • Hey, that's Rip Torn!

  • Thank U for this - lotta starpower in this - Paul, Lou Reed, the late, great Joan Hackett, and eyes-of-Rasputin Rip ! Helluva Clip !
