Welcome to Marriland's Pokemon Emerald NUZLOCKE Challenge! In this episode, I head back towards Lilycove City, fighting against the Trainers along my way and eventually arriving in the city, where I do some exploring, shopping, and battling!
What I'm thinking of doing for the Safari Zone is this:
1. Go to an unvisited Area, throw Safari Balls at the first encounter there
2. If I catch it, that's my catch and I leave the Safari Zone.
3. If it runs away, start from Step 1, moving to a new Area.
4. If I run out of Safari Balls or unique Areas, I end my run.
Thinking of just going with the "Throw Safari Balls until you catch something (or fail)" approach, which is what Nuzlocke did in the comics. The Safari Zone is and always will be different anyway. Let me know in the comments what you think I should do!
There might be music by Kevin MacLeod of http://incompetech.com in this video.
Pokemon Emerald was the last main series Pokemon game for the Game Boy Advance and was essentially a remake of Ruby and Sapphire, offering more Pokemon to find, more challenging Trainers, and an improved storyline. The Nuzlocke Challenge is a popular challenge spread by the popular Nuzlocke Comics (Google it) to provide a tougher gameplay experience, although it has also sparked many great stories, comics, and variants.
Marriland's Pokemon Emerald NUZLOCKE Challenge brings these two great things together and adds the Marriland flavor to it. This is the first Nuzlocke challenge I've recorded, although I have attempted several in the past (I mostly just get bored and don't finish lol). This is an entertainment series rather than solely an informative one, but it will likely be my only attempt at one of the Hoenn games, so enjoy it, you whippersnapper!
Anyway, you should really check out my website, because it's what I spend a lot of my time working on and has tons of coverage for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2:
Definitely register and participate on the Marriland Forums for some fun Pokemon conversation, too!
Lastly, subscribing to me is a big help, but so is keeping up with me on social networks like Twitter and Facebook! You know you want to... ;)
