Dude, swords have been symbols for war since their invention. It is a tool made *specifically* for combat. It isn't just an adapted or modified tool that had other uses beforehand (such as knives or axes).

Before the invention of guns and cannons, few weapons were as difficult to make as a good sword. About the only other weapon pre-gunpowder that would have been as difficult to make are high quality composite bows.

  • There's no way to prove the existence of God yet many ways to prove of it's non-existence and i think that's enough for me to disbelieve.

  • Typical christian reply. I know it's difficult to sound intellectual and educated when trying to agrue that gods, tooth-faries, unicorn, etc... exist, but surely you can do better than that.

  • blah blah blah

  • Speak for yourself. I absolutely want to be viewed in that light. As do millions of others around the world. People are tired of thousands of arbitrary interpretations of some alleged diety and the strife those ideas have created within mankind since their inception. To continue to view the world thorough 1st century thinking is to proclaim ignorance. It hasn't worked & it wil never succeed in doing anything except creating division amongst men and nations. It's time to move on form these dogmas

  • A sword is generally used for hurting or murdering people. How else could someone take it? If I said..."I come not to bring peace...but a gun". How do you think that would be precieved?

  • Really nasty things like "I come not to bring peace but a sword"? Typically atheist, completely ignorant the meaning and context of such sayings.

  • he called God "homophobic" hahahaha... Im sure God is simply terrified of gays. So if you dont like God, and you dont want to follow the rules, discredit it and have it erased? yeah, that'll happen. All youre accomplishing is creating more Christians, because people look at you and dont want to be viewed in the same light.

  • Wow, Betty Rollin , I did not think she was still around
