This is a VGE (Thats Us Vintage Glow Engines) RR2 049 Prototype Test Engine. It's finally here! This engine is prototype xxx004. If Cox was still in business today this is probably what they would have came up with. Now about the engine, it has a rear drum rotor like the RR1 but with better timing and milled out of chrome moly steel. The backplate is based off the red 051 Killer Bee's with the large venturi intake& needle valve. The backplate is cnc milled out of 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and anodized red. The crankcase is anodized the same color as the RR1 bright yellow. We polished the crankshaft and added a Killer Bee round drive plate to the nose. The cylinder is a slit type cylinder with 2 ports and 2 boost ports. For the piston we used one of our SPI high performance pistons. We removed the extra mass from the in side of the piston and also milled the bottom of the skirt to add sub-piston induction to the engine. To top of the engine we used a std #325 glow head. This is a great running engine and will turn the heads at the field, guaranteed.
