@kewlcumber You should check out my stream sometime. This video is from 2006 (uploaded in 2008) and I'm MUCH better than I was during this video.
You can "perfect flutter". There's a specific timing where you actually GAIN 1 pixel height per flutter if done correctly. I actually do an "okay" job in this video, but I can do it much better now.

Was it hard to figure out which route was the fastest to take to get all the stuff in the pipes?

Actually, no. You need the key to pop open the cork on the 2nd story (You enter the pipe room on the 1st story), but since this is a 100% speedrun, you need to go inside every room at least once for whatever reason; so just start from the bottom to the top.
If this were an any% (Which I'll produce eventually in 2009), then I'd just defeat the 2nd blob monster for the key, pop the cork, skip the checkpoint, and proceed to the boss.
