Justice Kagan on Chief Justice Roberts

In this excerpt from C-SPAN's interview with Associate Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan (airing Sunday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. ET on C-SPAN), Justice Kagan comments on Chief Justice John Roberts. Kagan, a former Solicitor General, argued cases before Roberts and said, "It's a little bit intimidating to know that the person questioning you has also stood in your shoes and has really done the job better than anybody else ever has. You know I've listened to the chief's arguments and I've talked to a lot of people who saw the chief's argument and he was fabulous. He's also a great, great questioner up there on the bench and he really challenges you as he should you know."

@doncarlsanders She is one of the most qualified people to ever receive a nomination. She used to be Solicitor General, which is arguably better than being a Circuit Court Judge for the purposes of nomination.
