Don't Be Rough !
The bluesman Tommy McClennan in the thirties was rough !
He was a self-conscious glorification of his own roughness.
However, his records sold fairly well.
He introduced himself :
This is Tommy McClennan,
the one who put the "Whiskey Headed Woman Blues".
Instead of putting out the "Whiskey Headed Woman Blues"
I'm going to put out "He's A Whiskey Headed Man Blues", just like myself and all the rest of you Whiskey Headed Men.
My friends,
don't be that rough, cause Mr McClennan died in the late 1950's and was a hopeless alcoholic drifting on the streets of Chicago's south side.
