Chevrolet Spark - Video Mapping - Sparkscape.

This is video mapping with a story! It showcases some of the Chevrolet Spark's features. What you are watching is a video of 6 projectors screening content onto 6 different surfaces at the same time in a purpose built room and a purpose prepped actual Chevrolet Spark car.

Our client, 360 Degrees gave us the opportunity with their client - General Motors SA, to push the boundaries of what had been achieved by video mapping to date. They tasked us with telling a story about the brand, putting it into a market context, and creating an experience for visitors to the General Motors stand at the Johannesburg Motor Show 2011.

With The Bridge producing, we enlisted the talents of long time collaborators Lung Animation and Big Leap Music and Post to provide some breathtaking animation and sound design content. Matrix rigged the purpose built "screening" environment for the projectors and aligned them with the car, back wall and ground.

The end result is not truly captured here as this is very much a live interaction and is obviously best experienced in the room with the car and the full quadrophonic mix, but it gives you an idea of what was achieved.
