@shauny14 I'd say late 80s or from the 90s. Also DLP>Plasma for blacks.

Worst contrast ratio? Are you serious?
The light doesn't spread evenly? Really?
Bleed? Where do you get this shit from?
First off... Contrast ratio numbers mean nothing. It's a gimmick by the companies making ALL HD TV sets. It's just a fact of life.
ONE, just ONE single candle lit in the same room as your TV (no matter which technology) throws out ANY sort of contrast ratio. That's a fact. I don't make this stuff up.
Remember, theaters use DLP Projection systems for a reason. Fool.

this is a strange video. DLP has the worst contrast of all technologies with blacks looking like greys, not forgetting that the light isnt spread evenly across the screen, it has the worst bleed aswell. and to those saying dlp has no pixels i laugh, pixels dont matter when sitting at the correct viewing distance, just like any refresh over 100hz your eye cannot pick it up dumbasses.

well guess what plasma doesn't have motion blue problems so it doesn't matter if its 6billion hertz

there realistic facts dumbass dlp used to be terrible but they hav came a long way and have surpassed both lcd and plasma

none of the technology out is really that good but for the best picture right now which is why we want hdtv I would go with plasma its better for cinematics its more natural looking from a consumer stand point lcd is more for the bedroom
dlp is a beefed up lcd
