Techno Industrial Jam September 2008

Yamaha's Ry-30 is almost unknown. Terrific machine for backing tracks especially in industrial. Producers used to use the RY-30 along with the Roland R-8, a very powerful combination. Here it is running with the 309, and a few DSI Evolver backing tracks off of the computer.

Little secret... a LOT of producers uses to pair the Ry30 along with the R8 for a very hard hitting combo. Not sure why these would ever get a bad rap, actually, Yamaha products have a lot of surprises. Maybe try to find yourself an FS1R, very powerful unsung hero from its day. BTW, I don't have any of the memory cards, and I wish I did. Constantly using this machine.

cheers, Mr. Faster, you are exactly right. But it is dead simple to get cool filtering for drum rolls and the like. Also, using combinations of pitch and decay on a synth sound will get you acidic/industrialish in an instant.
