Interview with Michael Mark Welner, M.D, American Forensic Psychiatrist, on the motives of Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik.
Welner states that Breivik actions are not about any specific ideology, but about Breivik himself and that Breivik could have chosen any ideologi or political movement. He wraps this ideologi around himself to "legitimize" he's actions, to give "himself some sense of righteous purpose", but it has in fact nothing to do with the ideology he claims to belong to.
"Welner states that Breivik actions are not about any specific ideology, but about Breivik himself and that Breivik could have chosen any ideologi or political movement."
Wish this man Welner would appear on TV more. Maybe then we'd stop hearing nonsense that this mass murder was something really "typical" for "far right-wing" politics. If that were the case, we'd have a Breivik mass murder every week!
