Rush Limbaugh finds and reads "Fake Soldiers" Update

Media Matters falsely claimed that Rush Limbaugh's reference to Jesse MacBeth was unrelated to his reference to "phony soldiers." As can be seen in this video from September 26 however, Rush began searching for the Morning Update about MacBeth immediately after using the words "phony soldiers." After the Morning Update printed off, Rush wasted no time in reading it on the air, referring to Jesse MacBeth as one of the "fake soldiers"

Media Matters' criticism that Rush waited a "full one minute and 50 seconds" before mentioning MacBeth is therefore moot.

It also appears that Rush, who is deaf and relies on a cochlear implant to hear, attempted to understand the caller when the caller said,
"They like to pull these soldiers" which sounds like "they like the phony soldiers." Judging by Limbaugh's reaction, it appears Rush thought the caller said "they like the phony soldiers" to which Rush replied, "The Phony Soldiers! The Ph--" then immediately set down his cigar and tried to find the Morning Update.
