One of my favorite things about this show as the fact that Kolchak was just "everyman" he had no special powers or abilities, he was just an excellent character played by an excellent actor

This show was so cool and Darren McGavin was so underated as an actor! Never fully appreciated! This show went south because of the lack of idea's and bad writing. It should have been done as a made for TV movie every couple of months and with attention to detail it could have gone on forever! The X-Files was such total shit and "Twilight" I wouldn't wipe my ass with! But this show still survives almost 40 years later and McGavin can never be replaced! He went on...and stepped into legend!

i loved kolchak as a kid many scary miyan,zoobie , vampire , jack boy ripper nights cool as cats dude, i wish some one would make a remake that did not suck ? speilberg go at her dude god speed.

@Cavillier1970 The female vampire was one of the movie vampire's victims that was missed when the authorities cremated their bodies.

what is the background music in this video? Did they use this same music in From Dusk till Dawn?

the music is from the 50's, its called pipeline and its by the chanteys i think
