Yes, Lou Honig had Eddie's autographed picture in his studio practice room at Chicago's Lyon & Healy back in 1969-70 when Lou gave me flute lessons!!

I had the good fortune to have the same woodwind teacher as Eddie in Chi-town. He was Lou Honig and he had an autographed picture of Eddie in the practice studio at Lyon & Healy, which provided me with much inspiration. That was back in the late 60's and I'm still "having at it" today on flute and tenor! Eddie really rocks on this one...he has played about any style one could imagine. A true innovator and a nice guy!

I played in the High School band with Eddie and at 16 he was already fantastic and then he just kept getting more and more "Fantastic". What a giant in all he did.

Eddie Harris was such a great musican. I wrote a book with the title "Eddie Harris sings the Blues", it's a discography with lot of stories about Eddie and the musicans.
