The first arcade game to have a CPU ( a microprocessor chip) to be used in arcades for more detailed graphics than arcade games with discrete hardware. All I can say this is western gun shooting game.

Emulator: MameUIFX 0.137
Recorder: MameUFXI 0.137 built-in AVI uncompressed
Encoder: AviSynth+MeGui.

  • Way better than black ops.

To be more accurate, Midway's "Gun Fight" was an updated version of Taito's "Western Gun" released earlier in 1975. The main difference between the two was the use of a microprocessor in Midway's update, which allowed improved graphics and smoother animation compared to the discrete logic in Taito's original version.

  • it was the first to have that jingle, in fact, it was the first to even have music!

the home versions had more music. the astrocade version played "home on the range" before the gam begun, and had 2 death jingles: player 1's death jingle was the one used in the arcade version, player 2's jingle was "taps" which is a military funeral song. Later home versions replaced "home on the range" with the music to the film "high noon", and the vcs version plays "ring of fire" for title music.

  • @ChristianGamer101 illegal? really? has anybody been busted and gone to prison for having these games playable through mame?

  • Was this game the first to use that iconic death jingle???

  • The death jingle grates on you after only a couple of minutes. But i have to understand, this arcade game is a dinosaur. Intensely limited technology.

  • OMG IF YOU HAVE HEADPHONES THIS KINDA HAS 3D SOUND

  • I don't know if I'm the only one, but I've always found it fascinating that Pong went mainstream in 1972 and before you know it video games are already tainted with violence. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing, just darkly humorous, really.

  • @skyrunner14 The poster of this video doesn't have any rights to this footage either considering it is a video of a game that is copyrighted. In other words, he doesn't own anything that is in this video. Not to mention that using Mame to play it is quite illegal.

  • Where's the stampede?
